If you love buffalo wings and you love chicken salad, then you’re going to love this recipe for buffalo chicken salad.
The classic comforting flavors of chicken salad are taken up a notch with the addition of buffalo wing sauce. This chicken salad is perfect for quick lunches or for game day. Sometimes I even like to eat it like a dip with cucumber slices or pita chips.

What you need:
- Rotisserie chicken. Simply remove the skin and then all of the meat from the bone. I like to use both the white and dark meat. You can also use cooked chicken breast instead.
- Celery. This gives the chicken salad a nice crunch.
- Mayonnaise. I like to use the classic.
- Minced onion. I like to use dried minced onion because I feel like it adds a nice subtle flavor without being overpowering. You can substitute however for a minced white onion.
- Garlic powder. A little goes a long way in this dish.
- Buffalo sauce. My go to is always Frank’s Red Hot Buffalo Sauce.
This dish is extraordinarily easy to make. What requires the most prep is the chicken. Remove all of the meat from the bones of the rotisserie. I also like to remove the skin, but you don’t have to! Once you have all of your meat, roughly chop it into bite sized pieces or smaller. Add your chicken to a large mixing bowl.

The rest is easy! Simply add the mayo, buffalo wing sauce, minced onion, garlic powder, and diced celery to the bowl with the chicken and stir well to combine!

This dish combines the best of both worlds- savory chicken salad with spicy buffalo sauce. It’s perfect on a sandwich or served as a dip!
